Fort Union Sensations
Footsteps small, with little meaning
Deep breaths, silenced whispers, I must be dreaming
Skies so deep, so blue, I could drown in them
Minds start to wander as I look up ahead, where the hills in the distance, gently bend.
Stitched by mind, sewn by heart
Victims of memory, you can’t tear apart
We all walk along the path where history meets art
Marveling before us at the earlier start.
Castle of dreams, empire of gain
Fort full of hope, a world full of pain
Time slowly stops and meets in the center
History records the problems we enter.
Breeze quietly calms, icy flakes rain down
Spring is in step, flowers bloom from the ground
Summer so sweet, so warm, colors transform, Fall.
Here at Fort Union, you can experience it all.
